Limelight by David Koppel presents a view of London’s 1980s nightclub scene from inside its most talked‑about venue. As house photographer at Limelight, Koppel recorded the musicians, artists and regulars who defined the period, from George Michael and Boy George to Malcolm McLaren and Leigh Bowery. Published for the club’s fortieth anniversary, the book gathers images from Koppel’s archive that trace the beginnings of a career in photography and a formative chapter in British nightlife.
Limelight is published as a 20.5 x 30 cm hardback of 152 pages, tritone printed in the UK on 170gsm Magno Satin. Casebound with a square spine, it features Wibalin Natural boards, UV printed tip ons to the front and back, silver foil to the front and spine, Wibalin Natural endpapers, and head and tail bands.
